Sub-Publisher

Sub-publisher – A sub-publisher is a company appointed by a rights holder to manage the licensing and administration of its musical works within a designated geographic region. For instance, a music publisher based in the United States might appoint a sub-publisher in Germany to oversee the exploitation and collection of royalties for its catalogue in that country. The sub-publisher acts as a local representative, ensuring that the rights holder’s works are effectively promoted, and licensed, and their royalties collected within the specified territory.
