It has almost become a tradition for Europe in Synch to be present at Ment Ljubljana. The conference celebrated its 10th anniversary in February 2024 and it is one of these spots that holds a special place in our heart, since one of the seeds for Europe in Synch was sowed at this very event a few years ago.

After intense Academy Workshops surrounding the music industrys take on Synch, later intensified with a collaboration with the local advertising scene, this year we wrote the next chapter in building a sustainable synch-friendly environment in the wider region. Our very own Markus Linde (a music supervisor in his actual main profession) and Nikolina Finska (a games industry and web expert in her case) discussed the meeting points of their respective fields and how music and games work differently to, say, music and film.

In another session, Markus Linde hosted a panel on “The Art & Business of Synch and its potential in education” with high profile representatives from the local scene: Film director Klemen Dvornik, composer Laren Poliĉ and music agent Žiga Drofenik.

Fitting in perfectly, both talks took place in the Computer History Museum in Ljubljana as part of said Ment Festival & Conference on Feb 23.
