Synch rights

Synch rights – Strictly speaking there is no synch right as such, rather synching involves the licensing of a bundle of rights that might include some or all of the following: reproduction, distribution, making available, public performance rights, etc. The exact set of rights included in the license depends on the nature of the audiovisual work the music is being synched to, and reflects how that work will be used and on what terms. However, “synch rights” tends to be used as a shorthand to mean the rights that are involved in a typical synch licence.
