Easy-clear – Easy-clear means that a person or company wishing to license a song will only need to contact two or three parties in order to clear the master and publishing rights. Typically this will mean contacting the label for the master rights and the publisher for the publishing rights. However, sometimes a synch agency will have the necessary agreements in place to clear the song themselves. Music supervisors usually prefer easy-clear or one-stop song clearance, since it is easier and less time-consuming.
