Copyright Term

Copyright term – The copyright term is the length of time that a copyright holder can control the use, reproduction, and distribution of their work before it passes into the public domain, where it can be freely used by anyone. In Europe, this is generally 70 years after the death of the last surviving author (for publishing rights) and 70 years from the sound recording (for master rights).
