Collective Management

Collective Management refers to an arrangement where authors, performers, producers and other rights holders simplify the management of their rights by granting a collective management organisation the right to license their works for certain types of uses, and collect the royalties on behalf of them.12 In some countries, some synch-related rights have been delegated to the CMOs, in other countries they have been left entirely with the rights holders to license directly (WIPO, 2023).
