Brief – A music brief is a document describing an audiovisual project and the type of music needed for that project. Briefs are typically created by music supervisors, producers or directors and sent to synch agents, label representatives, music publishers or artists, who may respond to the brief with their suggestions of tracks or composers (in the case of bespoke scores).
