The Danish music conference and festival institution SPOT+ has been good for EinS thanks to Conference Organizer Jesper Mardahl supporting the Europe in Synch idea right from the start: early panels and especially one of the most lauded advertising workshops of the EinS era took place here in the city of Aarhus, so we had been looking forward to coming back for more.
The format of choice this year was a roundtable, which was convened to set in motion processes working towards a better cooperation between the professionals on both sides. The session was co-presented by PROMUS, the community and networking center for both the music industry and the musicians in Denmark, and curated and moderated by EinS synch specialists Markus Linde and Nis Bøgvad – both seasoned music consultants and supervisors, respectively.
Danish and Nordic music professionals, among them Mette Zähringer (Iceberg Music Group), Ole Dreyer (Nordic Music), Jörg Rottgardt (Stereo Royal), Max Christensen (Crunchy Frog), Sofia Farinette (Sundance), Johan Husvik-Olaussen (Arctic Rights) as well as guesting international music supervisors like Jesper Gadeberg (MusicStylist.com) engaged in a lively discussion, which was inspired by the contributions of special guest Tanja Conway, Executive Producer at the Envision advertising agency.
It became obvious that the initiative for this was welcomed with open arms, as the session identified the urgent issues. After intense two hours, it was unequivocally agreed, that these shall be addressed with concrete activities in the following months in Denmark. Watch this space!
