Remix

Remix – A remix is a modified version of an existing sound recording, created by altering elements such as the stems (individual recordings of each instrument and vocals), tempo, and pitch. New elements can be added while existing ones can be removed (1). However, they raise copyright concerns, as they can infringe on the rights of the original work. The original author has the moral right to oppose remixes and is entitled to royalties from any use of the remixed version, including streaming, synch, and performance (2).
